Spraytec software overview

The extensive capabilities of the Spraytec system can only be fully realised with advanced, dedicated software. The Spraytec’s software reflects this requirement, providing a simple, easy-to-use gateway to interacting with the system and the data it produces.

All the support software for the Spraytec has been programmed by Malvern Instruments not simply to operate the system but to enable users to get the most out of it – to bring it to life.

As standard, the Spraytec software provides:

Automated operation: for ease of use and method definition.
Standard Operating Procedures: for reproducibility of results between operators and different sites globally.
Size History Analysis: to provide ease of understanding of trends in the spray droplet size as a function of time during a given spray event.
Result Averaging: to group data and understand the reproducibility of droplet formation.
Result Overlays: to overplot and compare the particle size distributions recorded at different measurement times.

In addition, the software system controls all aspects of the measurement process including system alignment, background light measurements, measurement triggering and data analysis. Users can access advanced features relating to how data is collected and analysed, allowing the system’s performance to be matched against specific application requirements. All aspects of the measurement can be specified and saved within an SOP for ease of recall, yielding improved measurement comparability between users.
