Dynamic light scattering enables the accurate determination of the molecule size and the derived molecular weight. It also allows further characterization of the protein size distribution to determine the presence and proportion of aggregates.
Static light scattering enables you to determine the absolute molecular weight and 2nd virial coefficient of your protein in the sample buffer – a value indicating how well your protein is likely to stay in solution.

The Zetasizer µV gives you rapid, accurate and repeatable protein size and molecular weight data. Its industry leading sensitivity enables you to measure dilute solutions of small proteins.
The Zetasizer µV requires the smallest sample volume in the industry, 2µl, and the sample can be fully recovered after the measurement. With the high sensitivity this means that only minute quantities of protein are required for analysis, 40ng for the measurement of BSA for example.
The Zetasizer µV has easy-to-use software allowing you to export the data in the format you want, set up your own reports and also to set up standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency in measurement procedures.
A fast, wide-range, programmable temperature control enables automated measurements as a function of time at a fixed temperature, as well as temperature trend measurements.
